Farnham Castle Wedding Editorial | French Blue Styling

Editorial, Farnham Castle, Wedding

Last summer Louise (Louise Perry Weddings) and I teamed up to for a beautiful styled wedding shoot at Farnham Castle in Surrey. Louise designed the day with France as the inspiration of this soft blue shoot. The ancient setting, Farnham castle, was built over nine hundred years ago in 1138 and part of the history includes Prince Louis of France occupying the castle.

Sarah joined me for the shoot, as always our shooting style fits and I edited the day to match the film I also shot. The images are a hybrid mix of digital and film, using Fuji 400.

Please scroll to the end for a list of all the fabulous suppliers and their website links.

Style

Louise spent time in Villefranche, a picturesque small French village with cobbled streets and a gorgeous cafe society. Louise took the setting for the feel of the shoot and then it seemed appropriate to use Provence blue for the colour scheme reminding her of the sea.

Floral

The flowers by Liz from Bluesky Flowers captured the romance and elegance of the South of France, but also taking into account we were shooting in an English castle. She used lots of texture with the flowers, including lots of greenery and foliage and making sure we used seasonal flowers. A mix of roses, sweet peas, phlox, ammi, nigella, larkspur, stock, lisianthus, scabious, cosmos, jasmine, forget me not, delphinium, foxgloves!!

Dresses

The dresses were from The Farnham Boutique, by Madi Lane and Evie Young- both have unique, new silhouette shapes to the dress designs.
