January 2020. Before the world slowed down, we had an incredible wedding shoot at Monkey Island Estate, It is a dream location set on an Island in the River Thames in Bray, Berkshire (near to Windsor).
Amy, The Timeless Stylist, designed the editorial to fit the beautiful location of Monkey Island. Amy drew her inspiration from the surrounding nature and led with ‘the key to the heart’ theme.
The editorial style started with a neutral palette, colour was brought in through a gentle dusky pink and a slightly darker almost plum colour. There was brass and gold metal added for warmth.
The incredible flowers by Blue Sky Flowers were integral with winding foliage, a natural base and pops of deep jewel tones. (You can listen to Liz’s amazing floral advice on the podcast here > )
The main set-up was a long tablescape for intimate dining and a food table in the marquee. The clear standing space by Joesph Benjamin Marquees let lots of light in and gives guests the perfect view of the grounds and house.
The food table was perfectly positioned at the head of the main dining table to demonstrate how The Curated Kitchen grazing area, and ornate cake by Unique Cakes by Yevnig, make an eye catching main feature.
Liz Patey, hair and make up artist, created a soft loose, romantic feel. The bridal styling complimented the delicate and floaty Cherry Williams dress. A soft and relaxed bridal look.
The team that made it happen.
