Our marriage almost was over on day two when Neil drove round a corner onto the wrong side of the road*. Typically this was in front of approximately 23 policemen on bikes, thankfully they must have been dealing with more serious criminals than us, a vague hand gesture was as far as they took it (* feel I should add here Neil is a pretty ace driver, think it was the excitement of marrying me that made him loose his head briefly).
And so our 24 hours in Los Angeles began.
We stayed at the Omni Hotel in downtown LA, www.omnihotels.com/losangeles, they thoughtfully had a wedding card, bottle of champagne and strawberries waiting for us in the room. Love the kind extras.
I’d never been to LA before, but Neil had so we whizzed around LA in our convertible red mustang (true cliche!).
Jet lag was on our side
At 6am we were starting the day at the Chinese Theatre searching for our fave stars handprints on the Hollywood walk of fame. Here is what else you can cram in if you have a speedy – 24 hours – of honeymoon in Los Angeles:
Some serious tourist cramming, but absolutely worth it.
Next week, luxury island life in Aitutaki, The Cook Islands
