How completely adorable is Darcey? She has perfect teeney tiny features and a full head of hair- she came into the world styled with a side parting and sweepy fringe (certainly has her mummy’s chic genes).
As always this newborn shoot was taken at home. Before newborn shoots I always insist parents do not tidy up for me- I’m coming to take pictures of your little person, not a sink full of washing up or piles of ironing on your sofa and hey you’ve just had a baby, who expects an immaculate house?
It is surprising how little space I need to take the pictures, just a small spot by a window to pop my beanbag and then we’ll go with the flow chasing the nicest light around your house for standing up family shots, cuddles on the bed etc…
Anyway I digress, I was just about to tell you how not messy their house is, but as well as being tidy it has uber glam décor- I had huge house envy! From the start Gary and Natalie knew that they wanted some big chunky silver framed prints of Darcey as well as family pictures. So with their vision in mind, we spent a couple of hours taking different poses and settings, with plenty of cuddle breaks which is when we got some of my favourite images.
